Rwanda’s private sector and government are set to bring together investors, businesses and other economic stakeholders to explore ways of increasing investment, production and productivity across key sectors of the economy.

The discussions will take place during the 2026 National Business Forum (NBF), organized by the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MINICOM) at Kigali Serena Hotel.

The forum will be held under the theme “Accelerating Investment Opportunities in Key Growth Sectors to Increase Production and Productivity in Rwanda.”

The gathering is expected to provide a platform for government officials, private-sector leaders, investors, financial institutions, development partners and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to discuss opportunities that can contribute to Rwanda’s economic transformation.

A major focus will be on identifying areas with potential for investment while addressing challenges that continue to limit business growth and productive capacity.

Participants will also discuss issues related to access to finance, quality and standards, value addition and the transition towards greener and more competitive production.

The forum will further examine how stronger cooperation between the public and private sectors can support businesses and create an environment that encourages investment and inclusive growth.

Callixte Kanamugire, PSF Acting Chief Executive Officer said the forum is intended to ensure that discussions between stakeholders result in practical actions and partnerships.

“The NBF 2026 is about moving from dialogue to action unlocking investment opportunities, strengthening productive capacity and creating the partnerships needed to make Rwanda’s private sector more competitive and productive,” Kanamugire said.

The organizers expect the forum to produce recommendations and commitments that can be followed up through concrete initiatives, particularly in sectors with strong potential to increase production and investment.

By bringing different players in the economy to the same platform, the NBF 2026 aims to strengthen collaboration and help translate identified investment opportunities into activities that contribute to productivity, competitiveness and broader private-sector growth in Rwanda.
