Members of the Private Sector Federation (PSF) on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 gathered to elect new provincial representatives who will lead the federation’s activities in the City of Kigali.
The elections are part of an ongoing nationwide process within the federation aimed at renewing leadership structures from grassroots levels to the national level. Business owners, entrepreneurs, and representatives from different PSF chambers and associations participated in the voting exercise.
In the City of Kigali, logistics expert Abdoul Ndarubogoye was elected unopposed as President of PSF Kigali City, securing 100 % of the vote in a show of confidence from the private sector community. Ndarubogoye currently heads Trans-Africa Container Transport Limited and has been involved in partnerships with international ICT investors.
He will serve alongside Emmanuel Tuyisenge as 1st Vice‑Chairperson and Jeannette Rugera as 2nd Vice‑Chairperson following the election.
After the election, Tuyisenge spoke about the mandate ahead, emphasizing collaboration and growth. “We will strive to bring together private sector members and partners to strengthen businesses and contribute to economic growth while representing the interests of entrepreneurs,” he said, underlining the leadership’s commitment to supporting enterprise expansion and economic development in Kigali
Urujeni Martine, the Vice Mayor in charge of Socio affairs in Kigali city promised to keep on strengthening the cooperation between the government and private sector” “The City of Kigali assures the private sector that we will continue strengthening our partnership so that businesses can grow and contribute to the development of the city and the country.”she said
The leaders elected at the provincial level will represent business interests in Kigali and coordinate activities among PSF members in the city. They will also contribute to national discussions aimed at improving the business environment in Rwanda.
The Private Sector Federation is the umbrella organization representing businesses across Rwanda. It works closely with the government and other stakeholders to promote trade, investment, and private sector development.
The election process will continue in other provinces before culminating in the selection of national leaders who will guide the federation in the coming years.
